If you do not feel at home in a large parish, Holy Family may meet your needs. We have a small and aging membership, and welcome people from many walks of life and from all parts of the city. Many people have found Holy Family to be the kind of welcoming and nurturing congregation for which they have searched. Holy Family accepts people for who they are and wherever they are on their journey. Holy Family Catholic Church is located at 1715 Izard St. The church faces 18th St., on the corner of 18th and Izard St, just a block north of 18th and Cuming St.
Masses on Sundays are at 10:00 am in the Church , and Saturdays at 5:30 pm in the Social Hall.
Columban Father Charlie O’Rourke will be available for the Sacrament of Reconciliation on the 4th Sundays of each month in the Blessed Sacrament room before 10 am mass starting at 9:30 am. Other times by appointment.
We welcome those new to Omaha or the area north of downtown, and/or visiting Omaha. Please consider attending Holy Family during one of our services. Come and learn about our common effort to serve the homeless and needy people who come to our area for help.
Exciting things are happening at Holy Family. There is new construction at Siena-Francis House just north of us. Multiple new housing units are going up west and east of the church. The offices of St. Vincent de Paul (SVDP) are now housed in Holy Family’s rectory. SVDP will have a Community Garden at Holy Family on the NE corner of 17th & Izard. Over 40 garden plots (15’x12’x4′) are planned. Some will be for free produce for those in need. Residents nearby have been invited to have a box to grow their own!
Deacon Al Aulner is our Pastoral Coordinator.
